OzProjects
OzProjects website is a dynamic and interactive student project site created to encourage teachers and students to collaborate and share knowledge and resources. The virtual learning environment makes it easy to learn about and include Web 2.0 tools in online projects. Collaborative tools such as forums, wikis and chats are available and learning experiences can be created around these tools. Within the projects students can upload and share photos and assignments and contribute to shared glossaries. http://www.ozprojects.edu.au/

Hello Andrew. Great to see your blog post about OzProjects. Have you tried any of the projects with your students yet? Let me know if you need any help. Any ideas for 2009 projects?

Dear Cecily,
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I've posted it on the blog for the other students in my Melb Uni masters subject to access and use~ hope that is okay. Please let me know if the links should not be there.
I also have a Site of the Week for the staff at my school and have the the draft prepared to send out on the weekend for next week's site. As I've said to them in the email draft it is a great way to teach themselves about Web 2.0 tools even if they don't immediately use with their students. I find that getting people (staff) to try to use new ICT the greatest challenge.
Unfortunately with my roles of Deputy, ICT co-ordinator, and Student Wellbeing in a primary school of about 700 students I don't have a teaching load at the moment. However I will be showing the site to the teacher who last year took over my role of ICT specialist. I hope to have more face-face teaching contact with the students next year and ozprojects might be one way I could do this! I'd appreciate any ideas you might have from collaboration with other schools to something to organise just within my school.
Thanks for your site!
regards
Andrew
